Meet Our Director
Christina Kimerle – Executive Director
Christina joined the FACF team as Executive Director in January 2015. Relocating to the Iowa City area from the East Coast, Christina brings a wealth of animal care and shelter experience to FACF. After graduating from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Animal Sciences, Business Emphasis, Christina began her career working with exotic animals. She has been in the domestic shelter industry since 2008. Christina currently lives in Iowa City (Northside neighborhood) with her fur-baby Gertrude, a rescue dog from the Iowa City Animal Center. Christina is motivated each day by the animals at the Iowa City Animal Center; she knows that she is part of a team dedicated to enhancing their lives. Gertrude is working hard as the FACF Office Dog.
Our Board of Directors consists of volunteers from all aspects of the community. We meet the third Tuesday of every month at 5:30pm. Our meetings are held at the Country Financial office: 1215 Jordan Street, North Liberty. If you would like to attend a meeting please email our President in advance.
